Will Wadlington is an artist and psychologist. He has a B.F.A. and M.F.A. from Ohio State University, where as a member of the visual arts faculty he taught painting, drawing, and intermedia. His fascination with vision and creativity led him to a Ph.D. in Psychology at Penn State University, where he worked as a therapist for many years.

Will’s interests in art and psychology intermingle. He paints and makes collages and writes about process—creative process, psychotherapy process, and the processes by which artists form their identities. Will is an authority on Otto Rank, an early twentieth-century psychologist who understood artists and had a deep appreciation for the process of making art. As a psychotherapist, Will helped people use their creative resources to address the existential issues we all face. He makes art as a means of discovery and self-knowledge. Will lives in Western Massachusetts.
